This is a BIG week in CrossFit-land because Thursday kicks off the 2024 CrossFit Games season! The live announcement of CrossFit Open Workout 24.1 will take place on Thursday, February 29th at 2pm EST. Dave Castro's cryptic hint for Open Workout 24.1

This is a BIG week in CrossFit-land because Thursday kicks off the 2024 CrossFit Games season!  The live announcement of CrossFit Open Workout 24.1 will take place on Thursday, February 29th at 2pm EST.  In case you missed it, Dave Castro's helpful hint is included in the image below...You can watch the Live Announcement on the CrossFit Games website or the CrossFit Games YouTube channel.

At Bell City, you can expect several of our athletes to complete 24.1 during our "Thursday Throw-down" on Thursday evening. The rest of us will complete the workout at ANY group class on Friday, March 1st.  

As a reminder, during the duration of the 3-week Open, the Open workout will be programmed for all group classes on Friday, March 1, 8 and 15th.  If you are registered for the Open, complete the workout on Friday and be sure to submit your score to CrossFit HQ via the website or the app before the following Monday, 8pm.  

Friday evenings will be reserved for "Friday Night Lights" we'll offer a coach-led 4:30, 5:30 and 6:30pm group class and you all are welcomed to come by to participate, spectate and cheer on your fellow competitors!  Of course you do not have to be registered to take class on these Fridays, but we strongly encourage you to consider it!

Finally, over the next few weeks you'll see the higher RPEs towards the beginning of the week and we'll taper off to a recovery workout on Thursday before hitting the Open Workout on Friday!

Here's what we have lined up for this week:

• MONDAY: (EFFORT) Every 1:30 x 5-Sets 1 Power Snatch + 2 Hang Snatch. "Trap Door" 5 Rounds for Time Power Snatches, Burpees Over Bar, Chest to Bar

• TUESDAY: (GRIND) EMOM x 25 Minutes Bike, Box Jump Overs, Front Rack Alt. Lunges, Sit-Ups

• WEDNESDAY: (EFFORT) Handstand Practice!  AMRAP x 15 Minutes Run, Alt. DB Hang Power Clean, Wall Walks

• THURSDAY: (QUALITY) 3-Sets for Quality, Suitcase Carry, Row, Jump Rope Practice, Up Downs, Goblet Lunges

• FRIDAY: (TBD) CROSSFIT OPEN WORKOUT 24.1!

• SATURDAY:(GRIND) Koffee & Kettlebells!!  Great Partner 30 Minute AMRAP Wallballs, Bike, Deadlifts, Handstand Push-Ups or Hand Release Push-Ups
