Fitness has always been an integral part of Coach Melanie’s adult life. However, after many years spent working out in a regular gym setting, her love and passion for fitness truly took off when she started CrossFit in 2017.
She quickly fell in love with the ideas and theory behind CrossFit. Understanding that the functional movements utilized in CrossFit help us remain active and independent throughout our entire lives…and the CrossFit gym community could not be beat!
From the beginning, she experienced her own progression into a health and wellness mindset that not only drove her to pursue her own optimal health but also led her to obtain her Level 1 CrossFit Coaching Certification and then to pursue a Bachelor’s Degree in Exercise Science so that she could share all of these ideas with others.
During her time in school, she became Certified in Exercise Physiology through the American College of Sports Medicine with a focus on working with older adults. This allows Coach Melanie to prescribe exercise for those with a multitude of conditions. She loves being in the gym helping others progress to be their best every day!
Coach Melanie lives in Plainville with her husband and three kids. In addition to CrossFit, she enjoys gardening as well as hiking and skiing with her family.
